These are our Century Women - they all joined in the 20th Century!
In an organization that is over 50 years old, there is a huge treasure of memories that is important to save. On February 14, 2007, WDCC took a big step in recording those memories. Karen Buie, a member of WDCC, interviewed the women who were able to attend a luncheon in their honor. The interviews were taped and have aired on Karen's TV show. The tape was also shown at the May General Membership meeting.

WDCC was organized to create civic consciousness while encouraging and aiding in the development of our community. Our members represent all segments of the community; they are women in business, women sponsored by firms who employ them, retired women, women who work in the community as volunteers, and women in government. The varied backgrounds and interests of our members create a very special ambiance. Our members benefit as individuals from the diversity of the group. We remain actively involved in numerous projects that benefit the community. Our purpose has not changed through the years.
WDCC was honored with a "Special Tribute" with the Gold Seal from the State of Michigan House of Representatives for its growth in membership and community outreach. As a result of our growth to over 200 members, we look to the future with great anticipation to serve the community even more. WDCC continues to be one of the fastest-growing women's organizations in the Muskegon area.
